A house with an attic: Rossinavi 50 m Bel1
The aluminium Bel1 is a 50 m offshore ‘off-roader’ with luxurious interiors and an original mezzanine deck. The sophisticated architecture not only expands the vessel's functionality, but is an iconic design element in its own right.

The creators of Bel1 have been working together for many years. It is this rich shared experience that allows them to improve their yachts with each new project, based on a common understanding of style, practicality, beauty and harmony. The exterior was created by the shipyard in collaboration with Fulvio de Simoni, while the interiors were designed by Enrico Gobbi, founder of the renowned Venetian studio Team for Design, with Carlo Lionetti as his guest decorator.

The exterior of Bel1 retains the elegance of profile and balanced volumes characteristic of all Rossinavi yachts. However, this vessel is more complex and architecturally interesting than her predecessors previously built on the 50 m platform. She looks modern, even avant-garde in some ways: the brutality of the vertical bow is softened by the rounded profile, the chin lines rhyme with the upper bevel of the side and the shape of the same bevelled glazing, the inverse colouring adds a special expression to the silhouette — the snow-white hull is crowned by a dark superstructure. Rare graphite shade with a silver tint conceals its true volume, and it is not insignificant. The extension of the superstructure is one of the main innovations of the project, which has made the sundeck much larger, with an area of 145 sqm. For a yacht of 49.9 m in LOA and an 8.9 m beam, this is a truly impressive size.

‘In addition to its bold design inspired by sporty SUVs, the Bel1 is characterised by an exceptionally large interior and exterior space. Our aim was to incorporate several additional dimensions into an overall stylistically coherent image,’ explains Federico Rossi, Rossinavi's Chief Operating Officer. And then he offers a closer look at the deck layout, which is indeed unusual. In addition to the three interior decks and the sandecks, the designers at Studio de Simoni have managed to add another level aft.

Halfway between the main and upper decks, the so-called mezzanine deck has been created to connect them and at the same time to provide a separate area for relaxation.

Thus, there is plenty of space for ten passengers to spend time outdoors, in a variety of scenarios. Judge for yourself. Firstly, there is a sundeck divided into three zones: a Jacuzzi with a sunbed in the bow, a lounge with a bar and a barbecue in the centre in the shade of the hardtop, and deck chairs aft (by the way, there is a retractable TV in the centre of the deck, which can be unfolded with the screen both fore and aft). Secondly, the aft terraces of all decks, including the mezzanine, where the sofa and dining groups are located. Thirdly, the beach club on the lower deck — when the transom sash is folded down and the area on both sides is enlarged by folding terraces, the result is a spacious lounge open to three sides of the world, with a convenient access to the water in the form of a telescopic ladder. From the lounge area there is easy access to a side-loading garage which stores a wide range of water sports equipment including paddleboards, surfboards, canoes, inflatable toys, Seabob underwater scooters and snorkelling gear. It is also home to three (!) tenders, the largest of which is the 11 metre Axopar Chase.

The interior spaces of the Bel1 are not visually isolated from the outside world. Floor-to-ceiling glazing floods them with natural light and allows you to admire the scenery, while sliding glass doors and window sections in the saloon blur the boundaries between the interior and the open decks. The tinted panes of glass protect the privacy of guests.

The upper deck is occupied by the wheelhouse, a gym with a set of modern fitness equipment and an ‘informal’ living room with a wide sofa and a bar counter.

The large saloon on the main deck is divided into a lounge area, furnished with upholstered furniture, and a dining area, visually separated by pylons with a large TV set, which has a mirrored screen and when switched off looks not like a black rectangle, but like a decorative element. An aesthetic accent is also provided by the spiral staircase that winds its way through all decks along the midships. It is made of brass-coloured honeycomb aluminium and, in combination with clever lighting, looks very effective.

Next is the entrance to the spacious master suite, with the entire foredeck dedicated to it. Four guest suites are located on the lower deck. The layout is identical, except that one bedroom has a transformer instead of a king-size bed, which can be converted to twin beds (a sensible option for charter use). For a crew of ten, there is an isolated compartment with living and service areas.

The interior is decorated in a modern style with the use of high-class materials and thoughtful alternation of textures and colours. American walnut and matt rosewood, quilted nappa leather and velvet softness of floor carpets, mottled marble of rare varieties and golden tinted mirrors are pleasant both to look and to touch. A subtle colour palette of browns, blacks with ochre undertones, greys, beiges and blues create a dynamic and cohesive backdrop, with accent pieces by contemporary artists including stone sculpture and Murano glass.

Built entirely in aluminium, the yacht is powered by twin 1622hp Cat C32 engines that deliver maximum and cruising speeds of 18 and 14 knots respectively. The autonomous range is 4,000 nautical miles. Four fin rocking stabilisers will ensure comfortable sailing in all weather conditions.
